Job Description
- Analyzing existing operations, crops, staff, and financial documents and recommending improvements.
- Preparing plans and schedules for planting and harvesting and ensuring staff understands expectations.
- Visiting the different divisions to inspect crops, and also perform tests on soil and water.
- Ensuring seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and other supplies are regularly restocked.
- Scheduling repairs, maintenance, and replacement of equipment and machinery.
- Assisting with the recruitment and training of new staff members.
- Ensuring all staff adheres to health and safety regulations.
- Maintain knowledge of pests and diseases and an understanding of how they spread and how to treat them
- Understand the implications of the weather and make contingency plans
- Maintain Export standards of production to ensure the highest quality
- Participate in planning for long-term farm development.
- Make plans and follow up, with irrigation, fertilizers and pesticides, etc
- Farm business management, responsibly manage administrative and record keeping tasks related to running the farm business and overall success of the organization
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture.
- Experience 10-15 years in a farming field as a farm manager.
- Males only
- Additional courses in business management or administration are recommended.
- Management experience would be a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- The ability to make decisions in stressful environments.
- Superb communication and interpersonal skills.
