Job Description
A Ramp Supervisor oversees ramp operations, ensuring efficient, safe, and timely loading/unloading of aircrafts. This position is based in Hurghada city, Egypt.
- Responsible for entire operations (Loading & Offloading, GSE movement, Cabin cleaning & other Ramp Services) in his shift.
- Ensure all staff are updated and adhere to safety procedures/practices and regulations in entire operations.
- To meet all the handling requirements of Airline by the operational staff.
- To ensure staff discipline.
- Provides necessary assistance to Ramp Manager in relation with Airport authorities and operational departments to achieve goals, costs reduction, and operational efficiency
- Leads coordinates his subordinates during his shift, delivers targets, monitors and evaluates his/her subordinates’ performance.
- Makes spot checks regarding discrepancies and contributes to make measures in order to eliminate the same during his shifts and reports it to Ramp Manager.
- Communicates with other departments and external agencies to ensure smooth services
- Ensures corporate image and service standards are never jeopardized under any circumstances
- Ensures company resources (Staff & GSE) are deployed in operation in safe condition/manner.
- Assists Ramp manager in training ramp staff.
- Maintain cordial relations with all Airline Representatives, Airport Authorities and all other parties.
- Will check on regular basis that team is following the given guide lines as per the SOP’s.
- Any other operational, admin and control work could be assigned to RSV as per the operational/ company requirements.
- Will be responsible and accountable to make necessary operational decisions related to safety and security matters at all times whilst on duty.
Job Requirements
- Candidate should be based in Hurghada - Egypt.
- Bachelor degree in related field.
- Very good English language skills spoken / written.
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within the airline or ground handling industry.
- Ability to manage and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with team members, management, and clients.
- Knowledge of airport safety regulations and procedures.
- Experience in training and development of staff members.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
