Job Description

- To provide psychological guidance and support, as well as personal counselling services with appropriate assessment and psychotherapy plan for students.
- To provide individual assessment, psychotherapy, psychoeducation, consultation, and crisis intervention services, if need arises
- To maintain updated records and case notes in accordance with legal, ethical and professional standards of mental healthcare
- To conduct psychoeducation training programs for students, as well as faculty and staff to recognize and handle students in distress
- To assist the admissions team with new intake interviews, administer psychometric and personality tests and suggest other appropriate criteria for selection
- To serve as co-chair of the Student Conduct Committee; maintain conducts records, and (if need be), suggest amendments to Student Conduct policies
Job Requirements
- English and Arabic Proficiency.
- Experience with conducting psychometric tests and psychological analysis.
- Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment,.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Possess a high level of interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with handling teenagers
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work under pressure with a minimum level of supervision.
- Able to maintain utmost confidentiality while exercising careful judgment in all department affairs
- Experience working with students or Academic setting is preferred SCOPE OF INTERPERSONAL CONTACTS
- Contacts are mainly with students and team members of the Non-Academic Student Life and student Wellness team. This position will also include close coordination with the Admission and Recruitment this requires the ability to exercise a considerable degree of interpersonal skills and is responsible for the results of those interactions.

- Vision and abilities required to perform the duties including, inter alia, visual capacity enabling frequent use of computer equipment, high level of perception and other abilities necessary for efficient performance.

- Ability to work under stress and tight schedule Work Environment
- Work is generally confined to a standard office environment. Incumbent may be required to be on call occasionally to respond to emergencies.
