Job Description
We are looking for Senior Android developer responsible for the development and maintenance of applications aimed at various Android devices.
- Architecting, designing and testing complex applications for a variety of Android devices.
- Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
- Understanding of Android design principles and interface guidelines.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
- Experience collaborating with senior back-end developers in an agile environment.
- Ability to lead juniors and manage their tasks
- Build advanced applications for the Android platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Work with outside data sources and APIs.
- Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
- Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
- Translate designs and wire frames into high quality code
- Design, build, and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable Java code
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
Job Requirements
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
- Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
- Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
- Have published at least one original Android app
- Familiar with tools like Firebase, Crashlytics, and Google Analytics.
- Ability to write well-documented, clean JavaScript code
- Strong knowledge of design principles, design patterns, and best practices.
- Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and connecting to different web services.
- Proven software development experience and Android skills development
- Able to assist in managing tasks and assigning them to a team.
