Job Description

Our US Certified Public Accounting office (CPA firm) located in the United States of America, is specialized in servicing small business and individual clients accounting and bookkeeping needs. We are expanding our Denver, Colorado USA office and looking for Senior Tax Preparer (US tax)/Accountant. The office is well established and looking outsource some of our bookkeeping workload to a newly formed office in Alexandria Egypt. The positions is PT/FT FL or Flex Hr.  We had our first hiring round last year with successfully hiring 3 staff. Two have proven excellency and were hired permanently and were on board for more than a year now. 

We are looking for a reliable professional to work remotely from home by accessing our system to:

  • Prepare or review individual (1040) tax returns including FBAR, foreign income reporting (8938, 114…etc.)
  • Prepare or review business tax returns (1120, 1120s,1165) and associated schedules.
  • Prepare or reviewing Estates/Trust (simple and complex) (1041), Estate (706), Exempt (990) and Gift (709) tax returns (NOT REQUIRED BUT A+ AND HIGHLY RECOMMENDED)
  • Prepare clients’ monthly payroll before submitting to clients and tax agencies.
  • Prepare clients’ monthly bookkeeping and accounting transactions

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in accounting or similar (Master degree is preferred).
  • A United States CPA certification (or parts towards the license).
  • Knowledge of US GAAP
  • Experience in USA tax preparation will compensate for the CPA certification
  • Minimum of four years of experience preparing Individual, Partnership, Corporate tax returns (Estate, Trust is highly considered).
  • Overall years of experience 10+ years.
  • Proficiency in the use of spreadsheets, tax preparation (ProSeries and Lacerte is a plus) and accounting software (QuickBooks Desktop and online version).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including effectively presenting information over the telephone, online and by email.
  • Be able to work on deadline.
