Job Description
- Receive and log digital evidence (hard drives, smartphones, storage media) from investigative teams.
- Store evidence in a tamper-proof, environmentally controlled facility (secure vaults, access-restricted rooms).
- Maintain chain of custody records, documenting all transfers, access, or modifications.
- Coordinate with digital forensic teams to retrieve evidence for analysis.
- Conduct periodic audits, reconciling physical inventory with digital logs.
Job Requirements
- 8–10 years in digital evidence warehouse management, chain of custody protocols, and secure handling of digital evidence (e.g., hard drives, smartphones) within law enforcement, legal, environments.
- Preferred experience in forensic lab operations, such as evidence intake, logging, and inventory management, with familiarity of tamper-proof storage systems.
- Expertise in computer/phone forensics and secure storage technologies.
- Meticulous chain of custody documentation and data protection practices.
