Job Description

  • Job Summary
  • Expo Egypt is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Country Director – Tourism to lead and expand our tourism operations in Egypt. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing strategic partnerships, driving revenue growth, managing operations, and positioning Expo Egypt as a leading tourism promotion and marketplace platform in Egypt.
  • This role requires strong leadership, deep knowledge of the Egyptian tourism sector, and the ability to execute high-impact growth strategies.
     
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the country strategy for tourism growth and market expansion in Egypt
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with hotels, tour operators, travel agencies, airlines, and government tourism entities
  • Identify new business opportunities and revenue streams
  • Lead sales, marketing, and business development initiatives
  • Achieve revenue, growth, and market share targets
  • Represent Expo Egypt at tourism exhibitions, events, and industry forums
  • Setup online marketplaces and manage them
  • Grow team to handle volume of work
  • Oversee daily operations and ensure service excellence
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights
  • Recruit, manage, and mentor the local tourism team
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, and performance reports

Job Requirements

  • Job Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in tourism, travel, hospitality, or online travel platforms
  • Minimum 3–5 years in a senior leadership or management role
  • Strong network within the Egyptian tourism industry
  • Proven track record in business development and revenue generation
  • Experience working with digital platforms or travel marketplaces is a plus
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills
  • Strategic thinker with hands-on execution ability
  • Fluent in Arabic and English
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Tourism, Hospitality, or related field
  • MBA is a plus
  • Experience working with international markets is highly preferred
