Job Description
Purpose of the Position
- Print production managers oversee a print project from the initial phase of reviewing client requirements to the final stages of production and distribution.

What you are responsible for:
- Responsible for maintaining a safe and secure work environment.
- This includes correcting unsafe acts/conditions, facilitating monthly safety meetings, performing monthly safety inspections, and investigating accidents, as required.
- Administers the direction and supervision of the plant production function as directed.
- Accesses, inputs, and retrieves information from the computer.
- Initiates, reviews, masters, and follows all standard operating procedures (SOPs) for area of responsibility.
- Establishes and maintains an employee relations climate of trust and confidence and maintains an employee relations climate of trust and confidence with employees, which will promote achievement of plant and company goals.
- Work with pressman and pre-press to make sure litho quality standards are met per company requirements and customer needs
- Work with supplier to resolve material issues with steel, coating, and varnish
- Lead improvement teams to resolve quality and production issues
Job Requirements
- 10 years, printing production unit
- Working knowledge of the following areas: business principles, legal practices, customer needs and expectations, product specifications and mechanics of the equipment, and MCO quality standards; generally accepted managerial practices and procedures; production principles, practices, nomenclature, and procedures; company policies, procedures, and products.
- Must be able to handle sensitive related and proprietary information in a confidential manner.
- Must maintain professional competence, ethical integrity, knowledge, and skills.
- Demonstrated results in improving operations significantly in a short time
- Six Sigma and Formal Lean Manufacturing Training preferred
- Formal Problem Solving Training Preferred
- Experience in Standard Work and Training
- Ability to analyze downtime production data, look for trends, and make corrections to insure KPI metrics are met within the department.
- Strong Printing and prepress background and hands on experience.
- Ability to work with customers and prepress to deliver highest quality.
