Job Description

Main Duties:

  • Plan, design, and implement solar energy projects including preparation of implementation Criteria, teams, Tools, Subcontractor & supervise implementation teams.
  • Manage anything from large-scale municipal projects to home rooftop installations. The engineer typically begins with a client consultation, site assessment, and financial assessment, which help MADA Power understand the project's context
  • Designs an appropriate plan that takes all relevant factors into account.
  • Implementation Engineer manage implementation of the plan. Solar engineers may also need to report on the efficiency, cost, and safety of the project. The engineer also be on call to deal with outages, emergencies, and system maintenance.
  • Solar engineers may also conduct financial reviews, ensure regulatory compliance, inspect installation sites, and write technical reports. Computer skills are essential for creating designs and testing photovoltaic systems.
  • Responsible for design of MADA Power Projects & offers using Programs and Design Concept & methodology.
  • Responsible for assist of Pre Sales Activity of MADA Power including costing & pricing activity for all MADA Power Offers/Tendering.
  • Assist in Sales & marketing Activity of MADA Power products & services across all market segments that MADA Power Cover.
  • Assist on Preparation of MADA Power Training Modules for Solar Cell & Led Lights Training including On Job Training if required.
  • Coordinate visits to customer project sites to investigate existing mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing systems and document energy performance information, including utility data and facility infrastructure drawings.
  • Identify opportunities for conservation or efficiency, prepare energy savings calculations, and perform engineering assessment including baseline profiles, end-use and retrofit analysis.
  • Lead engineering design and development activities in support of construction, operations, and maintenance of customer site projects as required by energy savings performance contracts.
  • Analyze and prepare conceptual and detailed engineering design and bid documents, cost estimates, drawings, and specifications for energy efficient building technology and system measures.
  • Coordinate with vendors and installation contractors for feasibility and pricing verification of proposed project modifications.
  • Provide engineering guidance throughout development, construction , project commissioning, and operations, including proposals, technical reports, cost estimates, and presentations. .
  • Ensure successful project implementation that meets or exceeds company objectives, financial parameters, and technical needs required to deliver customer energy cost savings.
  • Using knowledge of electrical power systems, coordinate the technical design and implementation of a solar and diesel hybrid micro-grid.
  • Using knowledge of electrical power systems, asses the energy needs of of farms, small businesses and houses. Using your assessment design appropriate solar systems using Excel and CAD software.
  • Create community training materials and execute trainings on the different renewable energy technologies.
  • Within each assigned project, execute system conception, purchasing, logistics, preparation, construction and installation (including repair and maintenance of some of these systems) following the guidelines, processes, formats and policies established by MADA Power.
  • Contribute to the research and development of new appropriate technologies for the energy program of MADA Power (researching best adapted technologies for our beneficiaries and their socio-economic context, conducting diversified studies, building and studying prototypes).
  • Work with the Renewable Energy Program Coordinator to improve the technologies already in use as well as their implementation.
  • Document the work of the renewable energy team in MADA Power with reports and other media using MADA Power templates.
  • Strengthen the capacity of the renewable energy team through the creation of internal materials, manuals and databases.
  • Participate in the creation of project profiles and budgets to be submitted to potential funders.
  • Communicate with energy partners (universities and other organizations) to share experiences and learn about alternative technologies and techniques.
  • Using your assessment design appropriate solar systems using Excel and CAD software.
  • Create plans for solar energy system development, monitoring, and evaluation activities.
  • Design or coordinate design of photovoltaic (PV) or solar thermal systems, including system components, for residential and commercial buildings.
  • Create electrical single - line diagrams, panel schedules, or connection diagrams for solar electric systems, using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Review specifications and recommend engineering or manufacturing changes to achieve solar design objectives.
  • Test or evaluate photovoltaic (PV) cells or modules.
  • Perform thermal, stress, or cost reduction analyses for solar systems
  • Plan, design, and implement solar energy projects including preparation of implementation Criteria, teams, Tools, Subcontractor & supervise implementation teams.
  • Conduct engineering site audits to collect structural, electrical, and related site information for use in the design of residential or commercial solar power systems.

Job Requirements

  • From 2 to 5 years of experience

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of electrical power systems, asses the energy needs of Any Customer /Client mapping with different Market Segments of MADA Holding.

Candidate should have the ability to do:

  • Prepare detailed work plans.
  • Design alternative energy systems.
  • Collect data about project sites.
  • Create graphical representations of energy production systems.
  • Evaluate plans or specifications to determine technological or environmental implications.
