Job Description
Internet of Things is one of the newly emerging fields that are well-positioned in Orange Research/Development radar.
Cairo International Lab invests in innovation in the IOT domain .
The position of IOT solution Expert has to introduce IoT tailored solutions for AMEA region.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
The candidate will introduce solutions in the domain of IOT and M2M in MAEA region by participate in design and implementation of different solutions. The expert will be responsible for the following technical Tasks:
- Market watch for the state of the art technologies/services in the domain of IOT and M2M.
- Match local market needs to existing related group solutions and perform necessary adaptation.
- Interface with the customer to Collect requirement and get the feedback.
- Exploring the relevant standards of IoT-M2M- based solutions .
- Defining high level architectures for new products and services
- Reviewing the technical content of proposed solutions/studies from different contributors
- Participating in technical field trials (pilots) of new solutions in Orange countries
Job Requirements
- Comprehensive understanding of communication protocols and technologies, including Cellular, WLAN, and LPWA protocols.
- Knowledge in Software/Firmware development is a Plus.
- Strong Telecom technical background
- Self-learner with strong ability to learn new technologies.
- Agile, dynamic, & autonomous.
- Very good communication skills.
- Work experience on the domain of M2M/IOT.
Selection Criteria:
- Past relevant experience in M2M/IoT.
- Strong Telecom technical background
- Self-learner with strong ability to learn new technologies.
- Agile, dynamic, & autonomous.
- Very good communication skills.
- Sound understanding of communication protocols and technologies.
- Knowledge in Hardware/ Software/Firmware development is a Plus.
Educational background:
- M. Sc. in Electrical Engineering.
- Fluent (Reading & Writing) in English.
- PMP is plus
Professional Experience:
- 7-10 years’ work experience in Telecom R&D centres.
