Job Description
The position requires a motivated person to take charge of tasks as needed and complete them with minimal supervision in a timely manner.
AFW is currently recruiting for a mechanical engineer to fill the position of Technical Office Engineer who is capable of
- Studying tenders and preparing all the technical proposals.
- Generate detailed and accurate bills of Materials for procurement and provide a basis for firm project costing.
Job Requirements
Required skills: (Candidate must have these skills in order to considered)
- Experience in steel structures and plate works and ability to generate detailed and accurate bills of Materials for procurement and provide a basis for firm project costing.
- Experience in study of tender documents
- AutoCad or Solidworks proficiency and ability to generate concept designs and blueprints.
- Project Management Background
- Ability to write/develop documentation in a technically professional and concise manner.
- Proficient communication/presentation skills for customer interactions.
- Ability to read technical documents and to research for technical solutions as needed.
- Fluent in English.
Additional skills: (Skills that can further qualify the candidate)
- 3D modeling and ability to generate detailed shop drawings.
- Experience in fabrication workshop
- Previous customer support or sales experience
- Ability to perform site measurements/ Plant Site Visits
- Experience in product design
- Industrial safety
- Experience in materials (Polymers, rubber, paints,...etc)
- Tekla structure
- Electro-mechanical experience
