Job Description
Main Duties:
- Establish Commodities BU logistics network by building strong relationship with different service providers and official authorities. This may include shipping agents, shipping brokers, vessel owners, stevedoring companies, transportation sub-contractors, custom clearance authorities, EEAA, and other concerned parties.
- Providing cost of operation support at tendering stage, i.e. shipping cost, clearance tariffs, port duties, transportation cost, stevedoring cost, warehousing cost, etc.
- Providing planning support at tendering stage aiming to reduce cost and to meet customer requirements when it comes to rate of delivery, warehousing capacity, etc.
- Managing the relation with suppliers logistics departments concerning shipping instructions, required documentation and approvals.
- Managing operation budget in order to maximize transaction profitability and to fulfill company duties toward different parties.
- Dealing with shipping brokers and/or vessel owners to get best shipping rates and alternatives.
- Controlling transaction documentation to secure proper recalling of information and to submit documents on time to assure cash collection.
- Arranging and following up with finance department to fulfill transaction obligation and deadlines, i.e. following-up LC issuance, money transfer, LC clauses, etc.
- Preparing contract with different service providers to maximize company long term and short term efficiency.
Job Requirements
- 5-7 years in logistics field.
- Good knowledge about clearing, shipping, transportation fields.
- Education: University degree, preferable business major.
- Fluent English.
