Job Description
Marefa.org is looking for a Fullstack PHP developer who will participate in improving the performance of the Marefa Encyclopedia and its new features and maintaining the running components.
Responsibilities:
- Write “clean”, well-designed code.
- Troubleshoot, test and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality
- Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle
- Develop and deploy new features to facilitate related procedures and tools if necessary
Job Requirements
- 4+ years of experience working with PHP and Javascript applications
- Good understanding of PHP native development, where no frameworks are used.
- Demonstrable knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX etc.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
- Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and their declarative query languages.
- Knowledge of object-oriented PHP programming.
- Strong knowledge of the common PHP or web server exploits and their solutions
- Good understanding of popular software design patterns.
- Ability to track, debug and monitor running applications.
- Attention to details
- Basic communication skills in Arabic and English
Desirables:
- Experience working with Xdebug
- Basic knowledge of working with Nginx and Apache
- Basic knowledge of Linux
- Excellent writing skills
- Working with MediaWiki PHP solutions
