Job Description

  • Assign Cost estimation jobs for the Tech office Engineers
  • Revise the costing of any project after studying the given data
  • Revise Shop Drawings prepared by Tech office Engineers
  • Revise All cutting lists and Job orders prepared
  • Be responsible for the submitting of new contracts until reaching all the approvals needed
  • Attend meetings with consultants and/or designers of any projects to discuss technical matters
  • Supervise and approve the manufacturing of any samples for any new contracts
  • Prepare shop drawings to facilitate all manufacturing processes
  • Perform the proper documentation with clients for all technical approvals and record any amendments properly
  • Prepare technical proposals by reviewing tender documents/ drawings, prepare technical offers & put estimating costs of by coordinating with vendors/subcontractors, offers evaluation, vendors/subcontractors negotiations and Financial offer preparation to ensure lowest prices.
  • Achieve the success factor percentage by putting the best prices and suggest methods to improve the percentage from a technical perspective.
  • Contribute to the team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Maintain professional & technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional design processes.
  • Improve design experience by maintaining state of the art technologies and methodologies.
  • Participate in solving/reporting any unexpected technical difficulties, and other problems that may arise during construction to the Technical Office Manager for discussion and proper solve.
  • Prepare as-built drawings at the end of the project and hand over to the project consultant.
  • Study the project contract documents (time schedule, project design drawings
  • Prepare shop drawing and coordination plans based on project’s design drawings.
  • Coordinate with other engineering departments to solve any conflict between
  • Study and prepare requests for information for all missing, unclear, conflicting or other technical matters that may arise during construction.
  • Review subcontractors’ shop drawings and coordinate their approval process with the project consultant.
  • Participate in solving / report any unexpected technical difficulties, and other problems that may arise during construction to the Technical Office Manager for discussion and proper solve.
  • Prepare as-built drawings at the end of the project and hand over to the project consultant.
  • Oversee the design process for kitchens and dressing room
  • Translate designs into working drawings and process sheets.
  • Ensure the correct translation of the design into process steps.
  • Prepare design concepts and related drawings to clarify the design.
  • Ensure high quality, innovative and functional design.
  • Produce detailed working drawings and specifications

Job Requirements

  • Applied arts major interior design.
  • Experience in furniture.
  • Can do cutting list work.
  • Problem solver
  • Art and design, AutoCAD, 3D design
  • Export in solid worx program
  • Furniture technology; cutting optimization prog.
  • Experience: minimum 3 years ( Must be in office furniture )
  • Experience in metal works (design and detailing) is necessary.
