Job Description
- Produces schematic design development and construction documents as directed.
- Performs original design work utilizing specifications, sketches and ideas on developing designs.
- Reviews shop drawings, specifications, cost estimates and construction material recommendations submitted by outside architects and contractors to ensure adherence to contract.
- Reviews work of contractor, verifying specified materials are being used, dimensions are as drawn, and quality is according to the contract.
- Completes paperwork and construction documents.
- Communicates with all involved parties and materials suppliers.
- Provides design review and supports for the proposed project.
- Assists project team in developing design drawings, specifications and document.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Architecture or a related field.
- 2-3 years' experience in the same field.
- Excellent technical drawing and designing skills.
- Strong communication and project management skills.
- Good interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of building codes and regulatory standards.
- Strong creative and visualization skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and software programs such as AutoCAD, photoshop, SketchUp, 3D max and Revit is a plus
