Job Description
- The Data Analyst will aid in analysis in our new Digital Financial Service (DFS) channels, client experience, and market insights to improve and increase uptake of products/solutions while tracking and maximizing clie
- The Data Analyst will aid in analysis in our new Digital Financial Service (DFS) channels, client experience, and market insights to improve and increase uptake of products/solutions while tracking and maximizing client positive/sustainable changes in quality of life.
- S/he will liaison with the Market Insights & Solutions team of the Aga Khan Agency for Microfinance (AKAM) to ensure alignment of FMF’s activities with the AKAM-wide global strategy. S/he will serve as the focal point for collecting socio-demographic, financial, poverty-related, and other types of client data and transforming it into useful insights as these relate to products, services, channels, and impact on clients’ quality of life.
Job Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s in, Commerce, Statistics, Economics or other related field;
- Experience: 4+ years in the related field, preferably with financial institutions and/or private sector organizations.
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent command of spoken and written English and Arabic
- Excellent level of computer literacy (Excel, Word, Power Point, Web research)
- Understanding of databases and statistical analysis software
- Understanding of research design, methodology, and statistical analysis
- Excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills
- Proven experience working as a data analyst
- Knowledge of digital financial services;
- Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience in credit scoring and financial services for development impact is desirable, experience with credit bureaus is a plus
- Experience in financial services environment
