Job Description

  • Develop a working knowledge of departments in order to quickly identify hiring needs at the department level, as well as how that fits into the broader organizational culture. 
  • Develop pipeline of talent, specifically for frequently filled positions. 
  • Work creatively with departments to help create recruitment plans, identify resources for outreach and staffing needs.
  •  Provide consultation and training to departments in regards to the Search and Selection process, appointment procedures,
  • Work with department administrators to discuss changing needs and recommend action plans.
  • Process/review and follow up appropriately with all pre-employment background checks. 
  • Provide initial screening of applicant pools, as well as phone screens or interviews where applicable.
  • Work with departments/VP coordinators to help ensure compliance with AA/EEO regulations, employment laws, and adherence to University, SUNY and Research Foundation policies and procedures.
  • Work with search committees/chairs to ensure proper search and selection process occurs.
  •  Review applicant pools at mid-point for compliance with AA/EEO regulations, employment laws, and adherence to University, SUNY and Research Foundation policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the training of users (i.e. departments, job seekers, etc.). 
  • Utilize job boards and Higher Education Recruiting Consortium (HERC) to disseminate campus employment opportunities. 
  • Prepare all postings: work with hiring manager to determine pre-screening questions, where advertising would occur to provide diverse applicant pool and
  • Be involved in candidate sourcing: review resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skills, experience and knowledge in relation to position requirements
  • Work within ATS to screen resumes for dissemination to departments
  • Review and approve internal transactions occurring for your designated area. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Job Requirements

  • 2 years of experience as a recruiting specialist
  • Good appearance
  • Good to V.Good command of English
  • Nasr City, New Cairo residents are preferred
