Job Description
Job Purpose:
- The main purpose of this role is to lead a team of Software Engineers, delivering business critical projects whilst maintaining high morale, managing the day to day activities in an efficient and professional manner and ensuring all team targets are met as advised by management.
The main responsibilities and duties are:
- Architect web applications from the ground up, with a focus on extensibility and scalability
- Provide full application development life cycle support, including creating specifications, researching products, development, customized coding, quality assurance and deployment
- Participate in the entire application life-cycle, focusing on architecture, software design and development.
- Planning and allocating work to the team.
- Monitoring development activities and reporting project progress.
- Understanding and implementing of project management practices.
- Guiding the team in defining/solving technical issues of their tasks, including working with them.
- Ensure that projects are accurately estimated and delivered to schedule.
Job Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of working in a professional environment with proven experience for at least 2 years in software development with track record of team leading/managing position.
- Experience in multiple software development life-cycle phases, including scope and proposal, analysis, design, and software construction.
- Must have experience working through the design, development, and release cycle delivering software to market.
- Strong experience in Web Development (PHP, MySQL)
- Experience in building web systems integrating with mobile applications through API.
- Strong leadership, project management skills, time management, and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Good command of both written and spoken English.
