Quality Manager Job Description

  • Reporting to the Chief Executive and the Board of Directors, the Quality Manager will be responsible for supporting the CEO in developing, executing and managing KERNILE Ltd. business plan with a particular emphasis on product and service quality. The Quality division aim to ensure that products and service that KERNILE provide are fit for purpose, consistent and meets both external and internal requirements, and complied with the international quality requirements. This includes safety compliance and customer expectations.
  • The Quality Manager will play a heavy role in all elements of the business including refining processes at the peanut processing plant, quality control, sourcing strategies, social responsibility certifications, meeting customer requirements, and support functions such as customer communications and quality certification for the processing plant.
  • The Quality Manager will ensure that the company’s policies and procedures are implemented and followed by all personnel, changing or adding to such policies procedures as required.

Job Responsibilities

  • Review and maintain the Quality System and ensure its completeness and accessibility to all approved personnel and stakeholders
  • Ensure that peanut products and by-products supplied by KERNILE are fit-for-purpose and meet all customer requirements.
  • Maintain appropriate policies and procedures within the Quality System to ensure the organisation is compliant with all statutory requirements as HACCP, GMP, BRC, FSSC 22,000
  • Purchase of Kernile laboratory equipment such as devices for measuring moisture, FFA, Peroxide value, aflatoxin, etc.
  • Training of Kernile team for implementing quality management system in all company operations
  • Preparation of quality reports for raw material, finished products and peanut by-products and communicate them with sales team whenever necessary.
  • Provide Quality System evaluation and reporting to the CEO
  • Maintain a process of sourcing and evaluating client feedback for service delivery including periodic surveys and interviews.
  • Make recommendations to the management team for developing and improving policy and procedural matters
  • Take charge in high-priority cases and crises

Job Requirements

  • Ability to lead, plan and manage change
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and/or maintain an accredited Quality System.
  • High level capacity in the use of Microsoft Office products.
  • The capacity to oversee the management of a number of projects, people and programs simultaneously.
  • Successful experience in managing quality operations, strategic planning, and human resources
  • Experience working with external partners and stakeholders.
  • Must be available to travel whenever needed
  • Fluency in Business English and Arabic, and proficiency in writing
