Job Description

  • Search the local and foreign market for alternative reliable suppliers, evaluating their offers, and participates in the negotiation activities of all relevant agreements, focusing on minimizing cost and maintaining the company’s quality standards
  • Preparing Request for Quotation for the material requested by the technical department
  • Comparing the offer received technically, financially & delivery time, then summarize the recommended offers into a presentable sheet to be presented to the managers to enable the decision making
  • Following up the P.O. status, starting from the P.O. Signing until the ordered material is delivered to our storage and approved by the Q.C. department
  • Evaluating the suppliers according to material quality, payment terms, delivery terms, negotiations flexibility & their commitment to our contract terms.
  • Analyze & Consolidate requisitions for same category items to maintain an economic procurement.
  • Prepare commercial & technical tender bid documents & selecting the appropriate bidders.
  • Issue invitations to selected bidders & ensure that they are treated equally during the tendering process.
  • Participate in the technical evaluation & communicate with suppliers for any technical clarifications.
  • Evaluate the commercial offers based on price, delivery term, payment term, & lead time.
  • Issue either a purchase order or a contract after negotiating terms & conditions, price, delivery term (according to INCOTERMS) delivery schedule, payment terms, penalty clauses, arbitration.
  • Follow up a letter of guarantees, negotiating the Letter of Credit terms according to UCP600.
  • Follow up purchase orders to ensure smooth supply until we receive all our warehouse items on time.
  • Preparing reports for purchasing activities, cost-saving, price forecast.
  • Monitor & evaluate the performance of existing suppliers through business unit feedback. 
  • Conduct market surveys to continually search for better purchase opportunities & find new suppliers.

Job Requirements

  • Engineering (mechanical, mechatronics, production) is a must
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a similar position
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Proven experience in Steel, Sheet metal, rolling mills, wire manufacturing is a must
  • High level of negotiation skills
  • project management skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge and direct experience in negotiating contracts and quotations with Contract Manufacturers and Suppliers
  • Ability to identify cost reduction opportunities
