Job Description

Overall Purpose:

  • Reviewing and auditing incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Prepare items for shipment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment.
  • Manage shipping method, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
  • Manage shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and record-keeping purposes.
  • Manage the Contacts with carrier representatives to make arrangements and to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of equipments.
  • Manage with needs according to statistics based on minimum stock level and average consumption.
  • Prepare a Purchase Order Summary Report.
  • Organize, train and encourage staff to ensure objectives achievements.

Other Important Accountabilities:

  • Perform a variety of general administrative and logistics duties including typing, and proofreading of documents
  • Receive, process, and sort incoming mail and inquiries.
  • Operate a variety of office machines including a Personal Computer; input and retrieve data and text.
  • Provide feedback and accurate statistics on operations and procedures
  • Perform related duties and responsibilities as required

Reporting to:

  • Supply Chain Manager

Internal Relationship:

  • CS Staff
  • Warehouse Staff

External Relationship:

  • Suppliers

Job Requirements

Key Business Competencies:

  • Mastering operating on windows and office suite
  • Mastering professional business correspondences
  • Typing > 40 words/minute

  • Learn organizational operations, procedures, and practices.
  • Respond tactfully and courteously with the public in answering customer inquiries and complaints.

  • Detail Oriented.

Minimum Qualification Profile:

  • University Graduate
  • Bilingual; mastering spoken and written Arabic and English languages
  • Fine looking, formal business attire
