Job Description
- The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for developing an IT roadmap for designated business units, by leveraging knowledge of IT systems and capability, along with deep understanding of business unit objectives, initiatives and challenges.
- The Senior Business Analyst owns the process to document new requirements for systems and enhancements and will work with the technical team to design, develop, and deploy new systems or enhancements for internal and external facing systems.
Job Requirements
- 6+ years work experience with the following skills
- Past experience working closely with (or embedded with) business owners to fully understand their business initiatives and processes and shape their definition
- Experience working on complex projects and managing release schedules across multiple initiatives
- Direct experience in waterfall and agile project management methodologies
- Comprehensive experience with all facets of the system lifecycle (functional requirements definition, system design, development, testing, deployment, support)
- Solid project management skills with a successful track-record of delivering projects on time, on budget, that meet the specific business unit expectations
- Effective use of modeling techniques, including business process flows, workflow, use cases, and user stories and policy exceptions handling.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at all organizational levels
- Must be comfortable working in a highly dynamic environment and be flexible to change direction if required
- Exceptional attention to detail, commitment to the highest level of quality in all deliverables, and an operational mindset
- Excellent teamwork skills and ability to influence others
- Strong level of customer focus
- Excellent negotiation skills
Education
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or any related fields (IT, Software Engineering…)
