Job Description
Main Duties:
- Manage, direct the performance planning, documenting and reporting inspections, sampling and tests.
- Implement all aspects of the QA/QC, safety & environmental plans
- Coordinate with other Dept. the timely and proper performance of all QA/QC plan controls
- Ensure that employees adhere to and comply with the company’s policies and procedures regarding quality, health, safety and environment.
- Verify satisfactory QA/QC, safety & environment staff and equipment performance through inspection of all work phases, and that equipment, materials and work conform to the contract specifications.
- Review submittals for equipment to become familiar with the specification of equipment, inspect facilities materials and equipment prior to shipment, and issue inspection reports and certification to the project manger.
- Interface with suppliers to verify specification compliance.
- Inspect production facilities and materials required by the specifications or requested by the company prior to shipment.
- Witness tests at vendor facilities as required.
- Verify that materials and equipment are as specified and that operating systems are controlled, as required by the specifications.
- Verify that all required equipment certificates of compliance are provided by the manufacturer or supplier.
- Document deficiencies and perform follow up inspections and tests to confirm remedial correction.
- Perform day to day supervision of sampling activities laboratory technicians, laboratory testing and any subcontractor testing facilities.
- Prepare the environmental protection plan to suit the requirements of the project.
- Supervise on the executing and updating the environmental protection plan, review the reports and approve it.
- Prepare all of the required environmental reports and observe the whole work and conduct the required inspection.
- Conduct internal auditing to check for the whole stages of the work and give advice.
Job Requirements
- Mechanical Engineering Background.
- From 6-8 Years experience (preferred in Sheet metal)
- ISO 9001/2000 Lead Auditor.
- Total Quality Management and Quality Management Systems Diploma.
- Certified Six sigma is a plus.
- Safety/ Occupational Safety & Health Professional background
- Familiar with OHSAS 18001 & ISO 14001.
- Familiar with environmental standards.
- Strong familiarity HSE management, practices and procedures
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Excellent English, and good French
