Job Description
Main Duties:
- Directs the overall financial plans of an organization.
- Managing the financial strategic planning for the Company including funding channels, bank facilities and L.C studies for new projects.
- Formulating the financial strategy and the financial Key Performance Indicators, return on investment and equity and inventory turnover.
- Oversees treasury, budget, tax and audit activities of the organization and subsidiaries.
- Oversees financial and accounting system controls and standards and ensures timely financial and statistical reports for management and/or Board use.
- Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring and enforcing policies and procedures.
- Monitors and confirms financial condition by conducting audits; providing information to external auditors.
- Prepares budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; recommending plans.
- Achieves budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
- Provides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data.
- Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing financial reports; advising management on needed actions.
- Maintains financial staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
- Protects operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Job Requirements
Experience & Qualifications:
- The candidate should have experience in construction field
- A minimum of a bachelor degree in accounting study.
- An MBA is not required but would be a plus.
- CMA, CPA, CFA or equivalent is designation desired.
- A total of 10 years of experience in progressively responsible accounting roles.
- A minimum of 2-3 years direct managerial experience working with one of the international Auditing firms.
- Direct experience working with contracting firms is highly desired.
- Experience working for international or multi-national organizations is a plus.
- Excellent knowledge of and reporting experience based on IFRS.
- Sound functional knowledge of ERP and business reporting systems.
- Excellence in accounting functions and areas.
- Excellence ability to enforce compliance and build/streamline processes.
- Proven skill in examining, developing, recommending and implementing financial policies and procedures.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
