Job Description
Key responsibilities:
- Evaluating and advising on all technological components, such as software, hardware, and networking capabilities for database management systems and applications.
- Designing and deploying data table structures, forms, reports and queries.
- Conducting research and providing recommendations on database products, services, protocols, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts.
- Applying upgrades to existing databases .
- Coordinating with other technical staff to develop relational and secondary databases.
- Identifying inefficiencies in current databases and providing solutions.
- Diagnosing and resolving database access and performance issues.
- Planning and coordinating data migrations between systems.
- Developing, implementing, maintaining change control and testing processes for database modifications.
- Developing and maintaining the database stored procedures, views, triggers and functions.
- Ensuring all database systems meet business and performance requirement.
- Producing ad-hoc queries and developing reports to support business needs.
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation.
- Developing and maintaining of Data Warehouse.
- Implementing data dashboards to display data in differing formats.
- Providing consultancy in database development and performing gap analysis on database to meet the business requirements.
- Submitting reports on database health and performance.
- Participating in meetings with customers.
Job Requirements
Technical skills and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with a major in Computer science or relevant field.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with reporting solutions, SQL databases and data preparation tools.
- Experience in Microsoft SQL server Scripting.
