Software Business Analyst @ Etisalat

The Software Business Analyst will be responsible for learning our departments' and clients' business, goals, and priorities in order to develop and recommend enabling technology solutions. The BA will work to develop and present business cases for technology solutions; gather and document requirements; and assist in prioritizing projects and application enhancement requests. The BA will have or develop a working knowledge of general end to end business processes and how processes are or can be enabled by technology. The BA must be able to design business processes and identify technology solutions in alignment with business requirements.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communications skills, the ability to understand and transform both business and system processes and an eye for details.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Build relationships with business units and establish credibility to provide technology leadership for the assigned business function(s).
• Work with business partners to develop business cases for technology solutions; gather and document business functional requirements for technology solutions; develop and present documentation supporting project initiatives.
• Work with software project managers in developing project scope, project charter, project timeline, project governance structure and “use cases” in accordance with required service levels for the business and software documentation standards that can be delivered to IT technical teams.
• Research and understand industry best practices in technical and functional business areas in order to recommend & enable business processes, driving improvements in work flow and increasing business partner productivity.
• Work with software project lead and technical staff to design and/or enhance systems based on business requirements. Ensure implementation of an ongoing support model for applications / systems in partnership with other software functions and business partners.
• Design and coordinate test plans for designed solutions in partnership with business units and software functions.
• Coordinate/facilitate test of final solution to ensure business requirements are met and ultimately help with user sign-off.
