Job Description
- Handle, troubleshoot, operation and configuration of customer Core & LAN network Core Mobile IP/MPLS backbone devices contains:
- Juniper routers (M120, M320, MX960 &T640), Cisco router ASR9K, Huawei routers (NE40, NE5000), Ericsson routers (Smart Edge).
- LAN network for each Core site which contains the Mobile Core nodes including Juniper switches (EX8208), Huawei Switches and Extreme switches.
- Handling Customer IGWs and make sure of balanced traffic distribution over international circuits and making sure that all the prefixes are accurately backed up.
- Preforming MPLS traffic engineering to ensure balanced traffic distribution among core links
- Solving any strange behaviours, logs appeared on the core routers and switches and opening cases if needed with different vendor TACs (Juniper – Cisco - Huawei – Extreme).
- Performing S/W upgrades for Customer’s Juniper routers and Switches
- Preparing & implementing the required configuration to integrate new Mobile node (GGSN, SGSN, MGW, RNC, and BSC….etc.)
- Interact and coordinate with Customer-Planning teams to implement new IP solutions.
- Preforming IP configuration audit & IP Network Optimization solutions to ensure the service quality & improve network performance.
- Sharing and transferring knowledge, and mentor other members of the team where vital.
- Holding Operations Meetings with customer to fulfil customer needs.
- Running Customer Telco Cloud Infrastructure including following Tasks:
- Support and manage Linux and OpenStack in both production and pre-production environments for Customer network.
- Administrate & Manage large scale Infrastructure and perform Acceptance test for CEE (Cloud Execution Environment) Devices which Includes (Juniper MX DC GW Routers - SPINE/LEAF NRU Data Switches - EAS Control Switches - CRU 0101 Computes)
- Upgrading and handling OpenStack services.
- High availability and backup for Open stack cloud system.
- Dealing with internal teams, open source partners and vendors to apply changes that match customer needs.
- Take ownership of operational incidents and new services implementation.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot or Resolve hardware, software or other network, systems problems, and replace defective components when necessary.
- Creating internal Knowledge Bases for information sharing purposes.
Job Requirements
Key Qualifications:
- Degree within Electrical Engineering / Telecommunication Engineering / Computer Science / Computer Engineering.
- 3-5 years' demonstrated ability
- Knowledge of Managed Service telecom operations practice
