Job Description

Job Summary

  • Monitoring and maintaining the computer systems and networks within an organization in a technical support role.
  • Writing code to create software programs.
  • Turning the program designs into instructions that a computer can follow.
  • Testing them to ensure that they produce the expected results.
  • Checking the code for mistakes and fixing them.

Typical work activities

  • Installing and configuring computer hardware, operating systems and applications
  • Setting up new users' accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues;
  • Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks;
  • Troubleshooting system and network problems & diagnosing hardware/software faults
  • Solving technical problems, either over the phone or face to face
  • Working with employees to identify computer problems and advising on the solution
  • Logging and keeping records of IT-related queries
  • Analyzing error logs so you can spot common trends and underlying problems
  • Testing and fixing faulty equipment
  • Replacing IT related parts as approved due to requirements
  • Testing & evaluating new design & creative technologies to support themselves & the company and team evolution and development
  • Writing programs in a variety of computer languages, such as C++ and Java, etc
  • Encoding project requirements by converting work flow information into computer language.
  • Confirming program operation by conducting tests; modifying program sequence and/or codes.
  • Maintaining historical records by documenting program development and revisions.
  • Debugging programs by testing for and fixing errors
  • Updating and expand existing programs
  • Reporting to GM

Job Requirements

Candidate must be proficient in:

  • Strong IT technical knowledge while keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job
  • An in depth understanding of IT software and equipment
  • Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time
  • An ability to assess each team member's IT knowledge levels, so as to collaborate with them accordingly
  • Logical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor in related field
  • Experience: 3 – 5 years IT related tech support & programming experience
