Ensure effective communication of company goals and initiatives with external stakeholders.
Write and edit external communications pieces designed to engage customers and reinforce the corporate brand, including news releases, talking points, fact sheets, blogs, social media posts, brochures, and web copy.
Manage media inquiries and coordinate media outreach initiatives.
Support and participate in the development and implementation of external communications programs and initiatives.
Develop strong working relationship with other business units, local press and community officials, as needed.

Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of experience in communications (media relations, employee communications or advertising).
Proven, excellent communications skills both written and interpersonal.
Strong organizational skills.
Proven ability to be innovative and creative.
Ability to work independently and on a team and interface easily with senior business leaders and the local press.
Preferred: Energy business/industry knowledge.
Master’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Advertising, or related field.
Online content management systems experience a plus.
