Job Description

  • Ensure effective communication of company goals and initiatives with external stakeholders.
  • Write and edit external communications pieces designed to engage customers and reinforce the corporate brand, including news releases, talking points, fact sheets, blogs, social media posts, brochures, and web copy.
  • Manage media inquiries and coordinate media outreach initiatives.
  • Support and participate in the development and implementation of external communications programs and initiatives.
  • Develop strong working relationship with other business units, local press and community officials, as needed.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of experience in communications (media relations, employee communications or advertising).
  • Proven, excellent communications skills both written and interpersonal.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to be innovative and creative.
  • Ability to work independently and on a team and interface easily with senior business leaders and the local press.
  • Preferred: Energy business/industry knowledge.
  • Master’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Advertising, or related field.
  • Online content management systems experience a plus.
