Job Description

  • By working with the aligned business unit head and other directorates, develop strategy and tactics for the current and future portfolio in order to anticipate market access opportunities and remove barriers.
  • Support and develop market access strategy and tactics through close working with the cross-functional business unit, relevant business unit head, and Director of Market Access & External Affairs, providing wide-ranging counsel and support relating to the Ministry of Health policy environment.
  • Guide and respond to market access requests from the local and international customer-facing teams in the field in order to fulfill business unit priorities and share best practices.
  • Ensure barriers to product uptake and early adoption are identified and removed prior to and during launch.
  • To develop and roll-out the tools, materials, and projects to drive access and the business by fulfilling the needs of the changing Ministry of Health.
  • Undertake analysis through the mining of various data sources and produce internal papers for supporting a broader understanding of key issues emanating from the trading environment and impacting commercial activities.
  • Project manage and/or participate in programs in which data submissions are compiled for key HTA and medicines management bodies.
  • To develop and maintain effective networks with a broad range of stakeholders within the Gulf and Africa trading environment.
  • Be a go-to source of insight across a wide range of market access and policy issues shaping the Semak trading environment, supporting the development of colleagues and directorates

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years as a Market Access Manager or Export Manager within the pharmaceutical or cosmeceutical industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in pharmaceutical science.
  • MBA in Marketing major.
  • Ability to combine strategic vision with tactical hand-on execution and a high work capacity.
  • Highly analytical thinking with excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build working relations both internally and externally.
  • Experience in working in a dynamic environment is preferred.
  • Customer focus.
  • Fluent in English.
