Job Description
- Responsible for the accuracy and integrity of calculating and posting journal entries into the accounting system, sub-ledgers and general ledger activity.
- Records cash management entries and maintain account balances and reconciliations.
- Review, post and maintain customer and vendor accounts.
- Generate payment disbursements to all vendors via check.
- Prepares financial analysis reports using statistical, historical and benchmark data.
- Assist internal and external auditors in year-end audits.
- Act as back-up to the senior Accountant as required.
- Process & reconcile monthly payroll entries, process social security reimbursement to Gov.
- Process reimbursements to tax authority, manage data entries & reconcile withholding taxes, sales and VAT taxes.
- Perform bank reconciliations & Manages Customers’ accounts including Accounts Receivable follow-up, collections & postdated checks safe keeping and processing.
- Substantiates and justify expenditures and expense reports.
- Assists in the preparation and analysis of financial statements internally and externally.
- Primary contact for the organization’s audits: annual, bank, insurance, etc.
- Point person for troubleshooting Accounting System issues.
- Assist the head of department or project manager for any system implementation or upgrades.
- Records fixed assets in the accounting system.
- Manages, safekeeping and recording petty cash transactions for Mirasco offices.
- Processes inventory adjustments, claims financial management and physical inventory count periodical audits.
- Assists in special projects as necessary.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or managerial accounting.
- Successful candidate must have minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in basic book-keeping.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of attention to details.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (Arabic / English languages).
- Problem-solving oriented and ability to learn and acquire advanced accounting and analytical skills in the shortest time as required.
- A high degree of competency with Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Preferably, previous experience with accounting systems and software.
- Some travel will be required.
