Job Description
- To lead and develop the purchasing team.
- To ensure conformance to legal and internal quality standards (ISO)
- To support projects across the company as required and ensure continuous production within cost control
- To negotiate with external suppliers on terms and conditions
- To influence other colleagues within the Company on procurement planning.
- To ensure the business has robust supply agreements in place with all materials, services and utilities suppliers.
- To ensure that there are alternative suppliers, researched and technically approved, in place for all key materials and services.
- To source new suppliers of materials, for product needs or more efficient cost effective delivery of products.
- To support and ensure, as far as is practicable, that the company’s purchasing operations meet the standards required for current and future accreditations to formal standards.
- To manage the sourcing and selection of suitable suppliers and contract manufacturers to achieve the company’s growth and service level objectives.
- To work closely with operations and other members of the Team
- To manage relations within the wider group ensuring that the Company benefits from any wider benefits.
- To undertake such other tasked as are reasonable to achieve department objectives
Job Requirements
- Relevant Bachelor Degree.
- Knowledge of accounting policies and regulations
- Excellent knowledge of budgeting, and accounting practices.
- Experienced in IT Procurement
- CPM, CSCP, or similar certifications is a must.
