Job Description

  • Create inventory and customer service strategies to meet budget and resource limitations while maintaining business plan defined satisfaction and service levels
  • Develop and implement department policies, procedures, and standards that enhance the performance of the organizational support and/or improve customer satisfaction while conforming with Brothers policies, procedures, and standards
  • Develop, implement and manage process improvement targets to increase part fill rate and define other initiatives to improve the departmental performance
  • Plan the strategy for the spare parts procurement team to utilize SAP and OsVC as the system of record, including training and managing overall
  • Manage the internal ordering process to optimize inventory and improve fill rate and reduce part obsolesces and scrap
  • Align strategies with the export team to ensure efficient order processing and effective refreshment of stocked spare parts at US and LATAM subsidiaries
  • Monitor changing demand for parts and create plans to address the change, including machine life cycle management, end of product life part purchasing, and BIL engineering revisions that affect stock parts
  • Provide direction, leadership, and guidance to staff and monitor the efficiency, knowledge, and skillsets of the staff and provide the necessary guidance, training, coaching, feedback, and appraisal as necessary

Management of Departmental Financial Responsibilities

  • Manage the evaluation, analysis, and remediation processes for all operational costs associated with the department and provide upper management with the recommended departmental budget
  • Provide monthly and ongoing analysis of the actual cost to budget; develop and deploy action plans to recover from any significant variances

Reporting

  • Create metrics and reporting on departmental performance and present the results on demand to senior leadership, subsidiaries, and division leadership and during regularly scheduled meetings

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or related field
  • Minimum 10 years of Management experience in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Operations, Logistics or Customer Service in a distribution warehouse or a production facility
  • Minimum 5 years MRP, Planning, Scheduling, Forecasting, or Project Management experience
  • Minimum 5 years Supervision of direct or indirect staff in a Supply Chain Planning function, including substantial coaching and mentoring experience turning low performing teams to a high functioning multi-skilled workforce
  • Microsoft Office Suite Advanced
  • ERP system
