Job Description
A leading PLASTIC facility in the Jeddah, Saudi Arabia is searching for a Production Manager. Great company with potential for growth. Great salary, bonus, benefits and relocation assistance.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise all Shift Supervisors and Shift Employees throughout production
- Conduct daily meetings and keep all staff updated on changes in facility
- Direct planning and forecasting for all employees
- Organizational development and planning
- Train associates on processes and equipment
- Possess root cause analysis skills and set corrective action plant.
- Continuous improvement and lean manufacturing skills
- Designing new systems and processes for the introduction of new products or for the improvement of existing ones;
- Working with other engineers, such as chemical, mechanical and electrical engineers, to ensure all product and system requirements are taken into account from the initial product conception to the finished result;
- Working with other professionals, such as accountants and human resources personnel, to manage budgets and the recruitment of junior engineers;
- Examining and tendering for new equipment to ensure the highest quality at the best price;
- Supervising junior engineers and sub-contractors and ensuring effective communication in order to avoid errors;
- Organizing plant start-up and shut-down schedules to ensure minimum loss of production time and profits;
- Liaising with the research and development department to ensure the company is at the forefront of ground-breaking research;
- Keeping up to date with current and developing trends in the manufacturing industry, at a national and international level.
Job Requirements
Skills:
- 5 years experience in manufacturing management
- Experience related to plastics manufacturing (Prefer Extrusion or Stretch-Film)
- Ability to multi-task and work on projects on a day to day basis
- Good reasoning abilities and sound judgment
- Good communication both, verbal and written
- High level of leadership skills to build a positive productive team
- The ability to understand a range of engineering functions and procedures;
- A practical and logical approach to problem-solving;interpersonal, presentation and communication skills;
- Team working and people management skills;
- The capacity to work well under pressure and take on new challenges;
- Organization and time management skills;
- Project management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines;
- An awareness of health and safety issues.
- Any previous work experience or activities at university that demonstrate these skills will be useful.
