Job Description
Archer Solutions is looking for a Senior PHP Developer responsible for managing back-end services and the interchange of data between the server and the users. Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, definition and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. You will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements built by your co-workers into the application. Therefore, a basic understanding of front-end technologies is necessary as well.
Responsibilities:
- Integration of front-end elements developed by front-end developers
- Build efficient, testable and reusable PHP modules
- Build web applications as APIs (services) using Lumen or Laravel
- Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges
- Design and build databases and integration of data storage solutions
- Need to rapidly learn applications deployment using Laravel Forge and/oe Envoyer
- Optional: Build WordPress websites/web apps and modify existing ones
Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree (Computer engineering, Computer sciense or Information systems is prefered)
- 2+ work experience as a PHP developer using above technologies
- Strong knowledge of building application APIs (using RESTful web services)
- Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks (Laravel/Lumen)
- Strong knowledge of object oriented programming methodologies and how to apply them to PHP
- Proficient understanding of Git
- Proficient understanding of MVC design patterns
- Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, AngularJS, HTML5, and CSS3
- Knowledge of the Apache web server
- Good knowledge of applications deployment is a plus
- Good knowledge of a mobile app framework (IONIC, PhoneGap, …) is a big plus
