Job Description

Primary responsibilities

  • Tendering Manager is responsible for smoothly manage and response to the entire 'Request for Tenders' (RFT) or 'Request for Proposals' (RFP) issued by tender authorities / Owners / developers / ... and ensure that the solution proposed is complete and appropriate and results in the best proposal possible.
  • The Tendering Manager must assess what information is required, coordinate the response material from all parties involved (including sub-contractors and joint partners), and ensure that the completed submission puts forward the best possible response in terms of completeness.

Operational Duties

  • Answer to pre-qualification file requests
  • Read and understand customer’s RFQs and specifications
  • Understanding the rules of tendering
  • Undertaking a Bid/No Bid exercise to decide whether to make a submission or not
  • Understanding the RFT, deciding timelines and responsibilities
  • Selling your tender and pricing to win
  • Timely management of tender activities
  • Review of drafts and effecting improvement
  • Methodologies and executive summaries
  • Quality control and procedures
  • Obtaining feedback from the commercial when tenders are unsuccessful in order to improve in future
  • Help with interviews and corresponding with tendering authorities
  • Give guidance with business and marketing development
  • Dispatches the bid
  • Explains the bid and identifies key issues
  • Coordinates different stakeholders in various departments in order to have a coherent offer and to respect delays
  • Tackles challenges met by various stakeholders and helps finding solution
  • Assess risks associated to the RFQ (client, planning, overcost, political, ...), mitigation of risks and compliance with group internal procedures (GMPs…)
  • Responsible for costing the offer
  • Write / prepare the offers in compliance with client formal requirements.
  • Build Profit & Loss scenarios (worst / best case scenarios).

Job Requirements

  • Preferred 5-10 years of experience in substation projects , Supply Chain Management and Contract Management
  • Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering .
  • Very strong track record of project management experience from the construction scope
