Job Description
- Rebuild some of the current pages.
- Develop new user-facing features.
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
- Optimize application for maximum performance, speed, and scalability.
- Validate user input and handle all possible scenarios in a user-friendly manner.
- Recommend features to enhance user experience and employee productivity.
- Participate in the conception and feature planning of new software as well as the extension of existing software.
- Design and implement new user-facing features for existing web applications.
- Create fast, easy to use, and robust client-side code for web applications.
- Optimize web applications to maximize reliability and speed.
- Design, develop, test, and maintain modern web applications
- Analyze and clarify business requirements to implement data model and business logic
- Work as part of an agile team to actively communicate status and complete deliverables on schedule
- Write unit and integration tests to ensure quality and maintainability of applications
- Ensure non-functional requirements including security, resiliency, and maintainability are met according to defined standards
- Resolve bugs, performance problems, and other issues with production applications
- Use markup languages like HTML to create user-friendly web pages
- Design mobile-based features
- Collaborate with back-end developers and web designers to improve usability
- Get feedback from, and build solutions for, users and customers
- Write functional requirement documents and guides
- Create quality mock-ups and prototypes
- Help back-end developers with coding and troubleshooting
- Ensure high quality graphic standards and brand consistency
- Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies
- Creating self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, or equivalent.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3, and SCSS.
- Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and Javascript frameworks, including jQuery.
- Good understanding of asynchronous request handling and partial page updates.
- Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
- Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them.
- Paying attention to code readability, performance, scalability, and robustness.
- Excellent technical English, planning, coding, and communication skills.
