Job Description
- Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance plans for glass furnaces, machines, compressors, lehrs, and other critical equipment.
- Supervise mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation maintenance teams, ensuring rapid response to breakdowns and minimum downtime.
- Oversee furnace maintenance and rebuild activities, coordinating with suppliers and contractors when needed.
- Ensure effective spare parts management, especially for imported and long-lead items.
- Monitor equipment performance and implement improvement projects to enhance reliability, productivity, and energy efficiency.
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to prioritize maintenance actions that impact yield and product quality.
- Manage maintenance budget, cost control, and technical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and housekeeping standards across all maintenance activities.
- Lead and train the maintenance team to develop skills and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Prepare and present maintenance KPIs, downtime analysis, and reliability reports to management.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Minimum 10–15 years of maintenance experience, with at least 3 years in glass manufacturing or a similar continuous process industry.
- Deep understanding of furnace operations, Press machines, lehrs, and air compression systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
