At Jacobs, we're challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world's most critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, mission-critical outcomes, operational advancement, scientific discovery and cutting-edge manufacturing, turning abstract ideas into realities that transform the world for good.Your impactOur aviation team in the Middle East is experiencing exciting growth and we have a need for a strong Airfield Design Manager to support regionally in the design and management of airfield and airport infrastructure related design projects.You will be required to lead and manage teams to meet project milestones and quality of deliverables, and you will be seen as an expert in the field of Airfield engineering with the company sharing expertise and solving complex technical and phasing issues in addition, your duties will be to manage client relationships and a multidisciplinary design team and in delivering designs of airfield projects.Experience Is Required To IncludeDesign of Airfield Geometry (horizontal & vertical design).Coordination with other disciplines like drainage, AGL, structures and pavement.Preparation of Construction Phasing strategies in operational airports.Preparation of design reports and presentations.Consultancy experience in Scheme and Detailed designs.Well versed with ICAO standards.Proficiency in spoken and written technical English, report writing and synopses.Here's what you'll needAs a successful candidate you will have a degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, registration as a Professional/Chartered Engineer is preferred and you will have proven experience as a technical professional on projects. You will also possess the followingAt least 15 years’ experience with airfield engineering projects.Experience working on large aviation (or similar) projects is required.Must demonstrate experience with airfield engineering and terminal interface issues.Knowledge of airfield runways, taxiways and apron design and planning aspects is required.Experience working in, and leading multi-disciplinary teams is required.From our inclusive employee networks to our positive mental health champions – we’re committed to driving a culture of caring where you can be you.
