Job Description
Our client is a remarkable wooden furniture manufacturer in Abou Rawash
Position: Purchasing Manager
- Negotiate contracts and formulating policies with suppliers
- Develop cost reduction strategies and savings plans
- Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures
- Plan, direct, and coordinate the activities of buyers, purchasing officers, and related workers involved in purchasing materials, products, and services
- Locate vendors of materials, equipment or supplies, and interview them to determine product availability and terms of sales
- Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment
- Review, evaluate, and approve specifications for issuing and awarding bids
- Control purchasing department budget
- Compile reports for work progress and follow-up, submit it to senior Management
Job Requirements
- Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) or equivalent
- Solid knowledge of: Purchasing Process Flow, Purchasing Sourcing, Supplier Selection Process, Procurement Chain Design, Negotiation, Materials Management, Inventory Management Strategy
- Previous experience in wooden furniture industry
