Job Description
- This incumbent is responsible for the manufacturing and/or assembly of components or products being made into finished goods within unit or from specific production line(s), Includes people management and budgetary/cost reporting.
- Manufacturing is defined as: Produces goods and parts from raw materials using such processes as formulating; mixing; pressing; filling and packaging. This may include some setting up of machinery and basic programming.
- Lead the manufacturing function within budget and output targets to meet customer requirements and standards. Full accountability for ensuring product quality, cost and delivery requirements are met.
- Responsible for developing an enthusiastic, motivated and flexible team by building working relationships ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to.
- Manage the team on best practice and establish standard policies and procedures whilst also mentoring and leading teams.
Job Requirements
- Education BSc in science, (pharmaceutical, Agriculture, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Food processing) or relevant fields. Experience
- +15 years relevant manufacturing practical experience in the field of food or pharma manufacturing.
- Extensive plant level experience with significant proven supervisory experience.

- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems experience.
- Membership of an appropriate industry related professional body would be advantageous.
- Proven track record of building a team, managing change, streamlining processes and driving safety, quality, delivery and cost improvements Knowledge
- Strong working knowledge and application of food or pharma industry manufacturing principles and GMP principles.
