Job Description
- Ensures that accounts payable controls are maintained.
- Ensures that Accounts Payable subsidiary balances and are reconciled to the general ledger on a monthly basis.
- Ensures that check disbursement runs equal disbursements recorded in the Accounts Payable system.
- Prepare balance sheet accounts reconciliations.
- Accurately preparing tax returns and ensuring that company taxes are paid in a timely manner.
- Ensure a clean and timely year end audit course with Assists internal and external auditors, as requested, in audit and research functions related to the Accounts Payable Department.
- Oversees reports regarding cash flow and budgeting.
- Develops guidelines for proper handling and coding of invoices to maintain general ledger expense account and inventory records.
- Analyzes expense reports and other invoices for accuracy and eligibility for payment.
- Verifies payments before controllers signature is added by reviewing checks and vouchers.
- Reconciles accounts payable total and general ledger with other applicable records (e.g., subsidiary vendors ledger).
- Ensures proper recordkeeping of purchases for use in tax preparation and periodic audits.
- Supervises, trains and directs staff on the accounts payable system and Company policies and procedures ensuring the timely and accurate recording and disbursement of accounts payable.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing
- Monitor the daily performance of the accounting department
- Organize financial data into useable information and maintain updated records
- Establish accounting policies and procedures, aligned with company’s targets.
Job Requirements
- Excellent command of English language.
- SAP knowledge.
- Excellent knowledge and experience with accounting software and databases.
- Ability to multitask
- Sound judgment in resolving routine matters.
- Understanding and knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
- Good time-management skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- BS degree in Accounting or Finance
- Be qualified with basic and advanced accounting courses and a specialist course.
- Excellent supervisory and analytical skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
