Job Description
JOB PURPOSE
Senior Systems Engineer is supposed to assist in designing, implement and maintain IT Platform including data networks for LAN / WAN (active/passive) , He also is responsible for total IT Platform's health/uptime at all levels.
Duties and Tasks:
- Install/configure/troubleshoot LAN / WAN devices either alone or with third party involvement
- Maintain Microsoft networks and connectivity to backend servers including domain/groups building
- Laying down plans to defend data networks against illegal intrusions, data theft, viruses, and spy software
- Maintain LAN / WAN resources up time to the maximum including printing, email, and application services
- Proactively maintain data connections ( MPLS / GSM / DSL) between branches and IT HQ plus monitor performance and detect/solve bottlenecks
- Maintain backend servers operating systems including patching and hardening
- Manage and maintain email, file servers, SQL servers, and storage filers
- Planning, supervising, and implementing data network’s passive works
- Supervise PC support operations
Job Requirements
- B.Sc. Degree , have hands on experience for the following ( 5 years at least ) :
- Windows Server 2012~2016, Active Directory configuration, domain/group configuration, DNS, DHCP, messaging systems and products/protocols, TCP/IP, LAN / WAN methodologies.
- IT Security products on MS networks against viruses and spy programs ( Endpoint Security )
- Strong skills for MS Exchange 2016 installation, implementation, backup, and troubleshooting
- Good skill for MS 365 email, Office 365, Skype cloud configuration, and troubleshooting
- Cisco products knowledge for routers
- Wi-Fi access points configurations and troubleshooting
- Experience for Sophos XG Firewalls and Fortigate Fortinet.
- Linux knowledge is valued ( Oracle Linux )
- MS SQL server knowledge is a plus
- Virtualization concepts and products
- Knowledge for NAS storage and surveillance camera systems is a plus
- Microsoft, Cisco and Sophos certifications is a plus but not a must.
- Must be a team player , enthusiastic and willing to work and learn around the clock
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
Work Conditions:
- Will work in office environment under the supervision of the Group IT Manager, occasionally can visit other branches to fix problems or support IT operations.
