Job Description
- Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure.
- Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools.
- Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
- Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes
- Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
- Communicate with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
Job Requirements
- BSC degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
- 5+ years' experience in system / network engineering and IT support required
- Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Windows 10/Windows server 2003 - 12 - 16 - 19 based environments.
- Experience with virtualization (e.g. Hyper-V, VMWare …. etc.)
- Experience in Domain controllers (primary /secondary ...etc.) – File Servers – Print Servers -DNS Servers and windows roles and services
- Solid networking and security knowledge (network layers, TCP/IP), admin the Managed Cisco /HP switches and Firewalls appliances (e.g. Sophos, Fortinet, …. etc.) also Appling the network segmentation with needed Network Access Policies and VPN tech.
- Experience with backup tools e.g. QNAP and backup strategies like the Disaster recovery plans (DR).
- Experience with Linux Suse is a plus.
- Microsoft / Linux / Sophos certificates are preferable.
