Job Description
Job Overview: Automotive design engineers create or improve commercial vehicle bodies, parts and accessories. Designers are expected to complete a bachelor's degree program in industrial design or a related field, such as mechanical engineering.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Design and engineering development including CAD, bench-marking, and design reviews
- Excellent judgment of design proportions and proposals
- Conceptual thinking – creative and strategic
- Researches and keeps up to date on design trends and automotive market developments
- Generates design concepts for assigned projects.
- Creates highly professional illustration of design concepts and themes
- Collaborates with designers and specialists in other areas (Exterior, Interior, Color and Trim, Modeling).
- Provides solutions to existing tasks.
- Participates in production design contests with a high level of creative input.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Power-production & design – mechatronics)
- Cairo & Ain-Shams University are recommended
- Good visual communication (drawing, sketching, illustration) skills
- Up-to-date digital technology (Solid works, Creo, AutoCad) knowledge
