Job Description
We are looking for a Sr. Backend Engineer to join our team and work on our digital products. Responsibilities will include participating in all technical aspects of team deliverable, including quality, performance, maintainability, and scalability..
- Team player with experience leading and collaborating with in cross-functional team to ensure successful delivery of solution.
- Communicate technical decisions (architecture and design) to business and leaders.
- Assists other team members with their assignments (e.g., on boarding junior team members).
Job Requirements
- Solid foundation in data structures and common programming paradigms - OOP, design patterns, and asynchronous/event-based coding.
- Must have experience on Progressive Web Apps (PWAs).
- Proficient understanding of Vue storefront framework for ecommerce PWA.
- Proficient understanding of Elastic search.
- Producing well commented code followed by decent documentation.
- Must have strong technical background with hands-on Experience in developing RESTful APIs using NodeJS (JSONp and GraphQL knowledge are definite pluses).
- Strong knowledge of Express framework.
- Experience with ECMAScript 6.
- Keenness on writing unit and integration tests.
- Proficient understanding of the protocols underpinning the internet (TCP, UDP, HTTP1.1/2/3, Websockets).
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
- Proficient understanding of Agile Methodologies is a plus.
- Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that the application will adhere to them.
Filtration Criteria:
- Willing to work remotely.
- 4+ experience with Nodejs and Progressive Web Apps (PWAs).
- Good command of English language.
- Preferred to have Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
