Job Description
- Ensure that the organization has adhered to the constitution and by-laws as well as the laws and regulations of the country. 2. To ensure that organizational legal matters are managed properly, efficiently and that the relevant and respective stakeholders are shared and given proper advice and guidance.
- Ensure that the CEO, COO, Senior Management Team and the Board are provided updates and reports on a regular basis, where necessary.
- Assist in the risk management if any, based on organizational matters of concern.
- Draft and negotiating simple and complex contracts including but not limited to those related to renewable energy power generation projects.
- Advise on general business law issues and managing the legal issues of all areas of the company, including but not limited to corporate matters.
- Anticipate and manage the (legal) risks connected with or resulting from the business strategy and operations.
- Pro-actively create and maintain awareness of business employees for (compliance with) relevant laws and regulations.
Job Requirements
- Our Client is looking for a talented and highly motivated lawyer to support our rapidly growing and evolving business.
Requirements:
- Education: The Senior Lawyer must have had a master’s degree (PHD preferred) in Law from an accredited law school and at least five years of working experience in a legal corporate environment.
- Experience: A candidate for this position must have at least 5-8 years of working experience in a corporate legal environment. The candidate must have also had experience some experience in legal practice both at a law firm and as an in-house legal consultant within a corporate setting.
- The candidate will similarly have had experience working in a legal corporate capacity providing legal advice on a vast set of general corporate matters such as contracts, finance, taxation, etc. A suitable candidate will further demonstrate vast experience working on corporate governance issues as well as experience working at all levels of management consulting with senior business leadership and stakeholders.
- Language: a candidate for this position must have very good - Excellent command of English language
- Ability to deliver high-quality work under deadlines.
