Job Description

Job Summary:
A CPO is responsible for ensuring projects are aligned with its vision, mission, values, and goals. They also provide guidance, support, and direction to project managers and teams, and ensure that the project management processes, standards, and tools are effective and consistent. A CPO monitors and evaluates the progress, quality, and outcomes of the projects, and reports to the top management and stakeholders on the status, risks, issues, and benefits. A CPO also leads the development and improvement of the project management culture, capabilities, and competencies.

Job Duties:

  • Link projects with the business strategy
  • Assurance of the projects execution according the planned budget, schedule and quality.
  • Making sure each project has an effective project manager
  • Implementing or overseeing appropriate project management methodology
  • providing guidance, support, and direction to project managers and teams, and ensure that the project management processes, standards, and tools are effective and consistent.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the progress, quality, and outcomes of the projects, and reports to the top management and stakeholders on the status, risks, issues, and benefits.
  • Estimation of the resources needed to achieve projects goals.
  • Managing project documents from drawings, schedules, quantities, and specifications, and notify the technical office of any deficiencies.
  • Conducting site visits to ensure works are set out in accordance with drawings and program requirements.
  • Managing main contractors, evaluate bids/proposals, oversee them.
  • Managing Consultants.
  • Studying specifications to determine appropriate construction methods, Interpret and explain contracts and technical information to other professionals.
  • Ensuring that the work meets all the legal requirements, Building Regulations, and client’s specifications.
  • Planning ahead and taking initiatives to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.

Job Requirements

  • Experience in projects: Commercial Malls, Administrative Buildings.
  • 20+ years of relevant experience including developer experience.
  • PMP Certified or equivalent is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Architecture Engineering.
  • Strong Leadership skills.
  • Problem Solving Skills.
  • Ability to use the main MS Office applications, Primavera and AutoCAD.
  • Very good Negotiation Skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent decision-making skills.
