Job Description

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Participate strategically with the management to enhance plants productivity and achieve the organizational goals.
  • Manage the Electricity Metering department and perform the function of an Appointed Electricity Meter Examiner.
  • Oversee the management of the metering lab.
  • Responsible for the day to day operation of the Electricity Metering department covering Meter Approvals, Monitoring and Certification visits, and Meter disputes, and the effective utilization of capital/manpower/consumable resource. 
  • Liaise with meter manufactures to discuss the needs of the new and existing projects.
  • Review the work progress on daily basis.
  • Conduct random plants and sites visits to check the meters conditions and readings.
  • Approve and review the internal and external reports relating to Metering, Inspection and Protection status.
  • Overview the Meters periodical calibration status.
  • Approve the meters' maintenance schedules.
  • Lead the coordination with internal and external parties regarding the meters installation process.
  • Set the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for department team. 
  • Approve and participate in preparing the Metering & Inspection department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). 
  • Lead the coordination with Supply Chain department to assure that all needed installation equipment are available on time considering the lead time. 
  • Approve and participate in creating the test reports, procedures, and control plans and guidelines. 
  • Assure that all agreed inspections are implemented and completed as scheduled. 
  • Submit to management formal inspection reports for plants and equipment. 
  • Contribute to the sites initiatives to enhance process safety, reliability and equipment readiness.
  • Assess the products and equipment performance based on the performance reports collected from sites and plants. 
  • Overview the cable measuring process. 
  • Attend and approve the FAT and SAT of all Electrical and Mechanical equipment. 
  • Approve and participate in preparing the power quality and analysis. 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical - Electronics).
  • 12-15 Years of experience in Energy and Power Generation industry.
  • 5 Years on same position.
  • Calibration & Instrument certification.
  • Analytical thinking & leadership skills.
  • Project Management PMP certified.
