Job Description
The function incumbent reports to:
- Accounting Manager/Finance Director.
Job Description:
- Perform tasks associated with the daily operations of the accounting department
- Actively support all general ledger accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking activities
- Complete monthly closing process to ensure its completed timely and efficiently
- Complete all month end reconciliations and initial financial statements
- Complete and submit month end and quarterly reporting packages to the headquarter as per given timelines
- Prepare monthly management accounts
- Actively participate in tthe annual audit process
- Prepare Tax returns
- Prepare daily cash management
- Forecast cash flow positions, related borrowing needs, and available funds for investment
- Preparation of the company's budgets and forecasts
- Submit budget and forecast packages to the headquarter as per given timelines
- Report to management on variances from the established budget, and the reasons for those variances
- Assist management in the formulation of its overall strategic direction
- Compile key business metrics and report on them to management
- Review the performance and report on key issues to management
- Review company procedures and recommend changes to improve the overall level of company
- Create additional analyses and reports as requested by management
- Participate in projects as assigned
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or related degree
- 3-5 years’ experience gained either in a professional service practice or in a similar role in a medium or large sized business
- Big 4 Experience ideal
- CA/CPA Qualified or equivalent
- Extensive knowledge of US-GAAP and accounting concepts, practices and procedures
- Industry standard accounting / ERP system knowledge essential, SAP preferred
- Working knowledge of Excel essential and Advanced Excel skills advantageous
